We’re thrilled to share the best of the North Fork in summer by land and by sea. Seasonally inspired and locally driven, our itineraries are a blueprint for your ultimate North Fork getaway. Find inspiration to start planning your trip or let us take care of the details for you. Browse our itineraries below and start planning your stay today. Questions? Just ask.
Inspiration is more than a feeling — it’s a place on the map. Our Rise + Shine Walk in Arshamomaque Pond Preserve just down the road is one of those places. Explore woodlands, meadows, and tidal wetlands and don’t forget to look up to see osprey flying overhead.
The colorful farm stands along the side of the road are worth a visit, too: take home local produce from Sang Lee Farms (organic), 8 Hands Farm, and Wickham’s Fruit Farm. Pick berries in season at Patty’s Berries and Bunches and reward your labor with a strawberry fields ice cream cone before you go.
Head back to the hotel, rent our Priority Bicycles and pedal to Kontokosta Winery, the North Fork’s first and only waterfront winery, for a tasting on the Sound.
Continue east to Lavender By The Bay – this scenic, 17 acre lavender farm in East Marion explodes with color each spring. Come for the full bloom in June and July, and visit the lavender-themed farm store anytime.
Sip, savor, sea — make a day of wine tasting at dozens of vineyards along the North Fork. The perfect pairing: a glass of rosé on Macari Vineyards’ deck while nibbling on a Neopolitan pizza from Avelino Pizza truck.
For the best pie on the North Fork, head to Briermere Farms on Sound Avenue. When the wait is over, order two pies and enjoy. When your stay is over, return home feeling relaxed, renewed and certainly well fed.
Unplug, reconnect, and take pleasure in life’s magical moments. Wake up to the sun and the Sound with a morning paddle on a stand up paddle board or kayak rental from One Love Beach, located a few sandy steps from your guest room.
Trade paddle for pedal and ride our Priority Bicycles to 67 Steps Beach where your to do list is limited to rock skipping and sun-bathing.
Head back to the hotel for the best lobster roll in town at The Halyard Restaurant, or sample our neighborhood favorites at The North Fork Table and Inn food truck or the Southold Fish Market.
Meet local sailor and artist Paul Kreiling at Greenport Yacht Yard for an afternoon sailing lesson aboard his 27’ racing sloop. Windblown hair and cheeks that hurt from smiling are all part of the memories you’ll keep.
Shuck every last minute out of your perfect day by sipping local brews and savoring seafood at Little Creek Oysters in Greenport while witnessing the golden sunset over Greenport Harbor.
Before you go, we know just the place for you to take home a keepsake of the North Fork’s nautical charm: Preston’s Marine in Greenport has been supplying locals and visitors with nautical gifts, décor and marine supplies since the 1880’s. You’ll return home feeling connected to the past but very much ready to take on the present.
From Greenport’s storied past to its colorful, contemporary eateries, the Village will draw you in with its mix of old and new. First settled as a fishing and whaling port in the 1600s, Greenport continues to be a bustling center of culture and commerce today. Dive into Greenport’s storied past at the East End Seaport Museum and the Village Blacksmith Shop.
For a modern day taste of the town, visit the galleries and boutiques along Front Street and the Main Road. Our favorites: VSOP Art + Design Projects, Burton’s Bookstore, and The Weathered Barn.
Skip the boozy brunch in favor of an adaptogenic latte at Bruce & Son or nosh on Baja-style tacos at Mexican eatery, Lucharitos.
Your Village tour wouldn’t be complete without getting out on the water. We love Captain Dave’s electric-powered Glory Harbor Tour. A cruise around Bug Lighthouse is another scenic option with stories to tell.
Toast to your day of exploring at the newly renovated Greenport Harbor Brewing Company or sip a bespoke cocktail at Brix and Rye paired with a wood fired pizza from sister restaurant 1943 Pizza Bar.
Add some ‘om’ to your day with a spiritual-in-more-ways-than-one yoga class at the North Fork Yoga Shala. Experience next level zen: the studio, situated inside of a historic Masonic temple, is a feast for the eyes. Return to the real world feeling a little more in touch with Y-O-U.
