Uncommon Art Residency
An exploration of inspiration through Sound, movement, drawing and craft.
Program Details
Our artists in residence pull inspiration from the powers of nature, the emotions of silence, and the dynamics of spirituality through creation. Inspirational, guided videos will take viewers through the tours of physical places where our artists find inspiration. Witness their process from the first spark of an idea all the way through creation.
Building a Creative Community
As artists, musicians and dancers converge at Sound View, a powerful conversation of the creative community ignites. With monthly, open dialogues for North Fork natives, we tap into the energy of community to celebrate inclusion and creativity. Engagement and perspective are key elements in experiencing the power of life. Our artist participants will therefore host open working sessions, display key works, and perform, inviting the community into rare opportunities to witness the artist's journey, from inspiration to completion.
Residency Information

Get inspired to start crafting your very own work of art during Uncommon Art Residency at Sound View Greenport. Applications are OPEN for 2023! Artists interested in applying should contact Marketing Director Kara Hoblin at Khoblin@soundviewgreenport.com before January 2023 with their website, Instagram and/or sample work, bio & CV, and a short statement on what you would hope to work on during the residency.
