At Sound View Greenport, we’re proud to house The Halyard, Jack’s Shack, Halyard To-Go, Halyard Room Service and our new beach bar called Lowtide, to give our guests the total North Fork Experience.
At our local seafood restaurant, The Halyard, we celebrate our region’s produce and bring it to your plate—direct from foragers and farmers, growers and fishermen. The team sources many of our ingredients from the North Fork and the Atlantic Seaboard, and serves them up in our light-filled dining room and sprawling seasonal deck above the Long Island Sound. Book a table at sunset, and enjoy unparalleled views of the sun setting over the Sound. Reservations only.
Our piano bar has an easy charm, with echoes of a bygone era of effortless style. To complete the atmosphere, Brooklyn’s Studio Tack has up-cycled the original 16-foot-long bar and lined it with captain’s bar stools, all set beside the hotel’s original baby grand. Artist from the North Fork, NYC and Sid Gold's Request Room piano karaoke fill the room with world class music. Come listen, enjoy and sing along.
Jack Levin’s snack shack on the town of Southold's public beach was one of the area's biggest draws post-World War II. The icon has been reborn and sits poolside at the Sound View, offering classic American fare and a festive vibe that takes full advantage of the pool, the Sound, and the sand. Meals at Jack’s Shack are casual and don’t require more than a swimsuit, some sunblock, and a willingness to unwind.
Lowtide Beach Bar
Our new beach seating was created to offset long summer days. Starting each night with the lighting of a trail of tiki-torches on our beach, this reservations only beach experience is what the end of each summer night is supposed to be. As the sun starts to set, our beach fires are lit, and guests can reserve seating along our beach. Teak Adirondack chairs naturally will tilt your head toward the stars only to be distracted by one of our team delivering your wine and a light snack. Listen carefully to light music in the background as the fire crackles in front of you. Reservations Only.
