Suggested Walking Tour

Historic Greenport Village

Inspiration is more than a feeling — it’s a place on the map.

Get your morning going with small-batch roasted, organic coffee at Aldo’s Coffee Co. – enjoy Italian-style biscotti & freshly baked croissants.

Hop inside to do the same at the newly renovated Roller-Skating Rink in the American Legion for a fun-filled day with family and friends.

Now it’s time to learn how to shuck your own oysters and sample a local beer at Little Creek Oysters new location on Carpenter St.

Explore Greenport Village’s unique galleries and local boutiques including The Weathered Barn, Preston’s Marine Shop, The North Fork Art Collective, and more.

Cap your day in the Village off with a cocktail at the award-winning bar Brix & Rye before ending the night with a delicious dinner in Stirling Square at 1943 Pizza Bar or American Beech. We have many other dining recommendations—if you’re in the mood for a cozy local vibe head over to First & South, or if you’re looking for fresh caught sushi & hearty ramen visit, Stirling Sake…just to name a few more.

TIP: Make sure to check out the North Fork Art Center in the Greenport Theater for active movie times and other unique programs.

Suggested Road Trip

Explore North Fork Towns

Take a leisurely drive to the eastern tip of Long Island to experience the historic hamlet of Orient. Stop off for homemade chocolates at The Candy Man before a stroll down Village Lane to visit the shops and the Oysterponds Historical Society, which houses local relics from the 17th century. Make sure to visit Abby at Orient Linen Co.

The next stop is Orient Beach State Park for epic coastal views, rare bird watching, and the opportunity to spot not one but two lighthouses.

Head back west to Peconic Lane, where the question of the day is beer or wine. For beer, visit Greenport Harbor Brewery, and for wine, it’s the Chronicle Wines. Either way, be sure to shop at North Found & Co., an artfully curated vintage and antique general store.

The last stop is Love Lane in Mattituck, where you can indulge in warming cheese fondue at The Village Cheese Shop and enjoy the boutiques and gourmet food stores – including Lombardi’s Market and Roanoke Vineyards Wine Bar.

TIP: Southold is another hidden gem. Grab a juice at The Giving Room Yoga Studio & Juice Bar or a fair-trade craft coffee at North Fork Roasting Company and browse unique local shops, including White Flower Farmhouse & White Flower Garden and About Food.
