BACK TO THE LAND

Inspiration is more than a feeling — it’s a place on the map. Arshamomaque Pond Preservejust down the road is one of those places. Explore woodlands, meadows, and tidal wetlands and don’t forget to look up to see osprey flying overhead.

The colorful farm stands along the side of the road are worth a visit, too: take home local produce from Sang Lee Farms (organic), 8 Hands Farm, and Wickham’s Fruit Farm. Pick berries in season at Patty’s Berries and Bunches and reward your labor with a strawberry fields ice cream cone before you go.

See the North Fork on two wheels: enjoy a complimentary Priority Bicycles rental and pedal to Greenport Village. Grab a takeaway wood-fired pizza and bottle of local wine from 1943 Pizza Bar and enjoy at Mitchell Park overlooking Greenport Harbor.

Sip, savor, sea — make a day of wine tasting at dozens of vineyards along the North Fork. Reserve a table at Macari Vineyards and explore Croteaux Winery, two of the prettiest vineyards in the land.

paddle boarding

SUMMER AT SEA

Unplug, reconnect, and take pleasure in life’s magical moments. Wake up to the sun and the Sound and get on the water with a paddle board or kayak rental from One Love Beach.

Trade paddle for pedal and ride our Priority Bicycles to 67 Steps Beach where your to do list is limited to rock skipping and sun-bathing.

Head back to the hotel for the best lobster roll in town at The Halyard Restaurant, or sample our neighborhood favorites at The North Fork Table and Inn food truck or the Southold Fish Market.

Meet local sailor Liz Gillooly for a socially distanced private sail aboard Layla, a gorgeous Fastnet 45 sailboat. Windblown hair and cheeks that hurt from smiling are all part of the memories you’ll keep.

Shuck every last minute out of your perfect day by sipping local brews and savoring seafood at Little Creek Oysters in Greenport while witnessing twilight settle in over Greenport Harbor.

Before you go, we know just the place for you to take home a keepsake of the North Fork’s nautical charm: Preston’s Marine in Greenport has been supplying locals and visitors with nautical gifts, décor and marine supplies since the 1880’s.
