The talented folks at North Fork Table & Inn have opened Southold General and this sit-down café and grab-and-go shop is worth a stop. “The General,” as insiders call it, offers a curated collection of food and goods from the North Fork. Provisions range from local wine and beer to breakfast sandwiches and chopped salads with fresh local produce. Fresh baked Grandma’s Pies and homemade gelato have your sweet tooth covered.
When the tasting room opened in Greenport in 2009, it was one of the first breweries in this wine-centric region. Now, John Liegy and Rich Vandenburgh have added to their roster a 13,000-square-foot facility in Peconic, with a restaurant as well as a brewery.
